Nothing to say about writing today. Last night January 3rd, 2017 we here in Southern Oregon experienced the second largest snow fall in our history (the largest was just over 100 years ago – December 1916)

I know for may of you 10 inches of snow is nothing, a proverbial walk in the park, but for us it’s a show stopper. Herself and I were up late watching the snow pile up at an inch an hour. Shortly after we retired for the evening, we heard a loud crash. Looking out the bedroom window I discovered a large branch from the neighbor maple had broken under the weight taking out a section of the fence. Luckily there was no other damage.

Tonight we are expecting temperatures in the mid to low teens, which means today’s slush will be tomorrow’s ice. No good for many here who have no experience driving on slick roads.
